Proving Ground is a local business that de-mystifies the nuance and esotericism around baking wholesome sourdough and other traditional forms of bread.
They provide starter packs, recipes and ingredients, equipment and mentorship programs aimed at bringing ancient food production methods into modern practice, and to re-establish their importance in a world of increasingly industrialised food production.
Born out of the Covid pandemic, Proving Ground is a community-focused initiative that believes in human connection through shared experience.
